I opened my professional organizing business just in time for the COVID shutdowns, but I was very lucky to have a few established clients to work with through this time. In September of 2020, my husband and I moved back to my hometown of Wexford. We bought a home that we have been slowly transforming into a homestead. If you want to follow our journey through transforming our property and building our homestead, check out our homestead website or instagram account @indeterminatehomestead.
I’m interested in expanding my organizing skills to the garden. I love helping other people create beautiful and productive gardens. Let me know if you need help getting a garden started! Want to learn a homesteading skill like canning? I can help with that, too!

My Story
In 2018, my husband and I moved to Central, PA. After working more than “full-time” hours in Social Work for 5 years, I was ready to use our move as a way to find a job that I loved equally as much. I deeply craved a better work-life balance, so I knew continuing with social work was not the answer. I have always been interested in helping people mentally and physically in a career, so this was officially the beginning of my interest in becoming a Professional Organizer.
While living in Reedsville, a small town about 45 minutes from State College, we knew that we wanted a garden, but we also knew that living in this home was temporary (only 2-3 years). This meant we couldn’t go crazy and had to think about resale value with every decision we made. We added a 4x12 garden for me to tend in my spare time, and I started taking exploring my options for employment in the new area. I ended up loving putting the new house together myself and getting everything organized, and started helping friends organize their homes. It took me a while to realize that this was the path I could pursue to accomplish my personal goals for a fulfilling future. Officially, I started working on creating my business in 2019 and was finally ready to take on clients right before the COVID shutdowns happened. Luckily, by that point I had met a few local clients with whom I could work until the shutdown ended. During the shutdowns, the garden produced a TON, and I learned to love water-bath canning. So when we found out in 2020 that we had the opportunity to move for my husband’s career again, we decided that the land was the most important aspect of our search.
We sold our Reedsville home for sale by owner (FSBO). Jacob, took the photos for the sale of the home, and I dealt with scheduling the showings and the rest of the sale aspects. He has a passion for photography and an incredible eye. A majority of the photos from my website (that haven’t been taken by my phone) are by him. Finding our current home was a difficult endeavor during one of the worst times to buy a home, but we got lucky! Since moving into our current home, we have decided to turn the property into a homestead. Jacob has been building a giant garden, and installing things like water collection and compost bins to help us become more eco-conscious. We currently have 2 cats, more than 100 pepper plants, more than 100 tomato plants, and hundreds more inside— and outside. If i’m not in the garden, or working, I’m probably on the water kayaking, spending valuable time with friends and family, learning a new skill, or doing something in nature. As my passion for all growing things continues to increase, so does the garden on our property!
